SPRING CITY--Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Tessie Jane Blain Pyper, passed away August 24, 1997 in Spring City, Utah. Born June 26, 1926 in Spring City to Jesse Odell Blain and Flossie Allred. Raised in Spring City and attended schools there, graduating from North Sanpete High School. Married Carl Henry Pyper, August 29, 1944 in Elko, Nevada. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Tessie was a full time wife and mother. Responsible for the DUP Monument being placed in the "Old Pioneer Cemetery" in Spring City and did the research to find out who was buried in both cemeteries. Member of the DUP, Sanpete County Historical Society, Spring City Historical Society, Old School Preservation Comm., Allred Family Organization and was an avid genealogist and historian. A sweeter lady you could never find. She always had a kind word and always willing to help everyone. Survivors, husband, Carl; sons, Carl Blain (Donna), Lee (LeeAnn), and Brent Alan; sister, Lila Davis; brother, Dwain Blain (Mary), nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents, son, Randy Odell and daughter, Jodie Jean. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, 1997, 11 a.m., Spring City Second Ward Chapel. Friends and family may call at Ursenbach Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 27, 1997, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 9:45 to 10:45 prior to services. Interment: Spring City Cemetery under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home.
